Private by design, not by promise

Strong encryption

Pattern lock
Open your vault with a pattern. Wrong guesses are slowed down, and the vault locks the moment you leave the app.
Recovery phrase
Twelve words that only you hold. Lose your phone and they bring everything back from your backup. Nobody else can, including us.
Backup you can trust
Backups go to a private folder in your own Google Drive, already encrypted. The app tells you plainly whether everything can be restored.
Secure camera
Take photos straight into the vault. They never touch your gallery or any other app.
Folders and viewer
Sort items into folders. Photos, videos, PDFs and text files open inside the vault, with no copies left behind.
What others see
Your phone's storage and your cloud only ever hold scrambled bytes. Without your pattern or recovery phrase, they mean nothing.

Questions
Can you see my photos?
No. Your items are encrypted on your phone with keys that never leave it, and we run no servers. We have no copy of your data, your pattern or your recovery phrase.
What if I forget my pattern?
Use your 12-word recovery phrase to restore your vault from its backup. If you lose both the pattern and the phrase, nobody can open the vault, including us. There is no back door. That is what keeps it safe.
What happens if I lose my phone?
If backup was on, install Vaultmark on your new phone, sign in to the same Google account and enter your recovery phrase. Without a backup, the vault stays on the old phone only.
Does Vaultmark need the internet?
Only for your own backup and for purchases through Google Play. The app talks to nothing else: no analytics, no ads, no crash reporting.
Does Vaultmark need an account?
No. There is nothing to sign up for. Backup uses your own Google account, through Google's sign-in, only if you turn it on.
